last time i was here in any meaningful way, i thought i was going to get proposed to the night of our 2 year anniversary in april. it had also been decided that we would be having an engagement party in june (mind you, i still don’t have a ring yet.) i think that covers the main bases?

so this is the beginning of how the badshah & i jumped on the wedding bandwagon and became a pair. part one.

the badshah & i are deep in ring-shopping mode. we’ve been searching high & low for the right engagement ring since, well, i plan to wear it every damn day. we’ve also been having a serious existential crisis about the entire tradition of engagement rings and the diamond and its arbitrary value, etc. is it a little sexist/anti-feminist since he doesn’t have to wear anything telling the whole world he’s off the market? is it self-absorbed? is it materialistic? we’ve run the gamut.
